With the month of November two weeks away, the Boys Basketball team has been practicing and the coaches have been getting ready for the upcoming season.

Head Coach Danny Russell looks his experienced players to step up.

“Aydan Perdue is a 4 year letterman who I expect to lead our competitive drive.  We have a little size and some experience in certain spots.  We are adding some good outside shooting from last year’s JV team.  I expect that we will play unselfishly and be a fun team to watch this season.  We are looking forward to everyone’s support in the stands at home games,” said Russell.

With the new season ahead, the players from last season will help pull the team together.

“We return three starters from last years team: Aydan Perdue, Cason Cole and Joel Elfert. Logan Ramos is returner who played a significant role last season. I am expecting them to provide leadership with their varsity experience and provide a competitive edge, said Russell.

Russell has added new players to his roster and the expects the boys to add to the already experienced  lineup.

“Our roster includes seniors: Jack Marshal, Thomas Christenson, Levi Oldham, Kaleb Smith, Carter Phillips, Cole Heaney and Jay Rasmuson, and juniors Jacob South and Nath Schoenemann.I am looking forward to watching our seniors get the opportunity to compete that they have been waiting for and working towards, added Russell.

The season begins with a few scrimmages and tournaments; District play starts December 6 against Mayde Creek.
